WASHINGTON — Vagabond Vending has announced a strategic partnership with PayRange (Portland, OR), under which the two companies will integrate data and mobile payments to enable operators to optimize sales and reduce operating expenses through use of Vagabond’s vending management software.
PayRange is a cashless payment system that eliminates the need for telemetry hardware and subscription to a wireless connection in the vending machine. Instead, it permits patrons to employ the Bluetooth personal-area networking capability of a smartphone to communicate with the low-cost PayRange device, installed between the payment system module and the machine’s controller board.
PayRange was founded by Paresh Patel, an unattended retail veteran, to provide operators and consumers with a simple and secure mobile payment and loyalty solution for laundry, vending, amusement, and other small ticket merchants. PayRange is the North American leader in mobile payments for unattended retail, with over 3 million users and a network of machines throughout 350 cities and towns in the US and Canada.
